Our CEO, Jamie Kendall, is a Wonder Woman! During her four years as the Food Bank's devoted leader, we have seen tremendous growth that provides increased hunger relief to more of our neighbors "that just need that little bit of assistance." “I found that working with the social services and especially food insecurity — which is such a big problem that a lot of people just don’t even realize exists — was extremely gratifying to me personally, to know I’m making a difference in helping those in need,” Kendall says. The Palm Beach County Food Bank continues to grow in response to that need. Pre-COVID-19, the Food Bank was distributing about 4 million pounds of food each year. Last year, that number increased to 15.4 million pounds of food. Read the Boca Raton Observer Wonder Women article here - https://buff.ly/3UU6YsF #leadership

关于我们
In Palm Beach County, there are nearly 200 agencies that take on the responsibility of feeding the hungry. These agencies range from operating small food pantries (that distribute canned goods and perishable food) to larger soup kitchens that prepare at least one hot meal per day. These organizations are the customers of the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Any food bank should aspire to distribute as much food to its customers as possible. That's our goal!

Period poverty and food insecurity go hand in hand for millions who menstruate. When funds are limited, sometimes people have to make the choice between purchasing enough to eat and buying menstrual products to be able to attend work or school. Junior League of the Palm Beaches is working to stop this issue for Palm Beach County. We are grateful to have the new storage capacity to store the Period Supply Drive donations and room to package the period packs for partnering nonprofits who distribute them.
Kicked off my weekend with the Junior League of the Palm Beaches volunteering at the Palm Beach County Food Bank, with one of my favorite shifts, a Period Packing Party! PBC Food Bank now helps to store our needed materials for this committee as we work towards our group goal of supplying 1 million period supply packs to women in our community. During our shift today, we packed nearly 850 period supply packs(16,880 products)????

Over ?? 2,300 pounds ??of disaster relief supplies and food are going to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton thanks to another wonderful partnership with Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. To everyone who was able to donate, thank you for lending a helping hand in our neighbors’ time of need.
