Lahore's first Hajj flight, PK-717, flew out to Madinah at 10:32am despite a delay caused by a fire at the immigration counters, carrying 329 pilgrims. Additional flights are scheduled from Multan to Madinah on May 10, and from Quetta to Madinah via Karachi on May 11. A direct flight from Sialkot to Madinah is set for May 19, and from Sukkur to Jeddah on May 27. Karachi's departures are streamlined through the 'Road to Makkah' project with local immigration processing. On the inaugural day of Hajj operations, 2,160 pilgrims flew on 11 flights. In total, 179,210 Pakistanis will undertake Hajj this year, with flight operations continuing until June 10.
