Amenities play a powerful role in the success of master-planned projects. At CoreNet Global's North America Summit, Page Design Director Matthew L., Operations Director David Quenemoen, and Interior Design Director Sheri Ginett, joined by Robert "Bart" Olds, explored the national trends and challenges for mixed-use and commercial development properties, focusing on how commercialized, external-facing amenities — when imbued with nature and sustainability — can create robust, vibrant spaces for community engagement and enjoyment, while enhancing occupant and operational flexibility. The theme of the Summit was "Powered by Connections," and several of our Texas projects highlight our national approach emphasizing this theme. At Highpoint 2222 in Austin, we are renovating a former 3M innovation center into an amenity hub for health, wellness, and human interaction. In Houston, at East River, our design recalled the manufacturing and shipping heritage of the waterfront site, while careful attention was placed on the pedestrian realm where appropriately scaled outdoor spaces connecting the urban environment. And at Uptown ATX in Austin, we master-planned a 64-acre site for a vibrant mixed-use district that incorporated existing public transit lines to better serve the community and visitors to the district.
