“Designing the future of applied sciences and engineering buildings to showcase student innovation creates a new model for student-centered learning. Working closely with our visionary clients at the University at Buffalo and State University Construction Fund, we tailored every detail of the Russell L. Agrusa Hall to elevate the student experience. “With intuitive entry points and wayfinding paths, we established a new front door to the engineering complex. At the dynamic Student Club Headquarters, students can observe and participate in prototyping and collaboration -- igniting their passion for engineering and innovation. “Each design choice fosters connection, creativity, and hands-on learning, and I look forward to seeing the students of UB bring their visions to life as they explore, create, and grow in spaces purpose-built for their success.” – Page Senior Designer Shivanthi Carpino #UBuffalo #SEAS #DesignMoments #EngineeringEducation #HigherEducation #Design #SUCF Rendering: bluepost

Why is hydrogen the energy of the future? ?? Hydrogen creates energy through fuel cells and produces nothing but electricity and water vapor and no greenhouse gases. ?? Hydrogen helps energy companies develop less carbon-intensive conventional fuels such as renewable diesel and sustainable transportation fuels. ?? Hydrogen is the most plentiful element in the universe, meaning it will never run out. ?? The US Department of Energy is funding the creation of seven hydrogen hubs to advance the domestic hydrogen economy. ?? Hydrogen is suitable for numerous industries --from transportation to shipping, aviation to agriculture, steel production, and manufacturing. At Page, we’re constantly deepening our knowledge around energy and sustainability. In this video, Mission Critical Sector Leader Jeffrey S. Willis and Senior Project Manager Ken Black, AIA, LEED AP BD-C, CSI share how we focus on forward-thinking solutions for our clients to empower them for success. #Energy #MissionCritical #Sustainability #Hydrogen #EnergyTransition

"Life is about people and the memories you make along the way. That’s why I like healthcare planning and design, it’s more human and resonates with me on a personal level. ... I love to sit at the foot of the elderly and have conversations with them. In turn, they enjoy talking and sharing information, and the wisdom they offer cannot be overstated. "Knowing that there are memory care facilities and healthcare facilities out there I helped design is my way of giving back. Not all relationships last a lifetime, but the impact they leave does." -- Page Senior Design Adam Chambers Read the rest of Adam's story and perspective in our #WhyIDoWhatIDo series: https://bit.ly/3YULM78 #CuratingCare #HealthcareDesign #Architecture #MemoryCare

The convergence of science, engineering, and technology has transformed?healthcare education and is driving high demand for a workforce that can leverage next-gen skills for healing and discovery. Strengthening the link between STEM?and Health Sciences?is the use of?simulation and project-based learning — growing national trends — but at Page, it's how we've been approaching healthcare education design for years. ? Our designs of state-of-the-art?health education facilities break down traditional academic silos to train the next generation of caregivers. We help our clients take bold steps in integrating disciplines such as engineering and medical education to train the invention and?innovation-minded "physicianeers" of the future. ? We bring previously separated departments under one roof to allow resource sharing, technology-rich learning,?and?interdisciplinary?research, using?facility strategies that create synergy?and strategic overlap. Beneficial outcomes are many, but, allowing health science students to acquire?more interprofessional team experiences, improve their engagement and confidence, and encourage new partnerships and career interests? That's an outcome that will see its greatest reward when these students are out in the world working as doctors and healthcare providers to help real patients experience real healing. ? At Page, we seek to provide education environments that prepare students to be the physicians and healthcare professionals of the future. And we're ready to help you do the same. ? Get inspired by this video filmed during our inaugural Health Forward Symposium and Design Charrette, where?Ken Weitzel, Research Director and Executive Partner at the?Advisory Board, shared insights into?what’s possible for the future of healthcare education.? #Architecture #HealthcareEducation #Simulation #Learning

Amenities play a powerful role in the success of master-planned projects. At CoreNet Global's North America Summit, Page Design Director Matthew L., Operations Director David Quenemoen, and Interior Design Director Sheri Ginett, joined by Robert "Bart" Olds, explored the national trends and challenges for mixed-use and commercial development properties, focusing on how commercialized, external-facing amenities — when imbued with nature and sustainability — can create robust, vibrant spaces for community engagement and enjoyment, while enhancing occupant and operational flexibility. The theme of the Summit was "Powered by Connections," and several of our Texas projects highlight our national approach emphasizing this theme. At Highpoint 2222 in Austin, we are renovating a former 3M innovation center into an amenity hub for health, wellness, and human interaction. In Houston, at East River, our design recalled the manufacturing and shipping heritage of the waterfront site, while careful attention was placed on the pedestrian realm where appropriately scaled outdoor spaces connecting the urban environment. And at Uptown ATX in Austin, we master-planned a 64-acre site for a vibrant mixed-use district that incorporated existing public transit lines to better serve the community and visitors to the district. Are you ready to power connections in your next planned development? We're here to help you do it. #Amenities #MasterPlan #MixedUse #CommercialDistrict #Design #DowntownCore Project photography by: Tomorrow, Inc., and ShouLin Hon/Page

Simulation-based learning is particularly effective, enhancing learning by making connections between knowledge and skills. Students integrate what they’ve learned into real-world scenarios, merging hands-on experience and technical skills with prioritization, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Simulation is a powerful tool for health education in particular by: ?? Stimulating an emotional response that imbues the learning experience with meaning. ?? Fueling confidence and personal satisfaction as students complete successful simulation tasks, helping them identify as future health professionals. ?? Facilitating the development of skills in teamwork for problem-solving, leveraging collective knowledge, and listening. ?? Providing a safe environment in which students can make mistakes – and learn from them.
