A new way to legal. We've modernized how law firms work to make general counsel services available to all businesses.
关于我们
Just as human resources, finance, and sales are vital to business success, so are legal advisors. Unfortunately, general counsel -a company's chief lawyer who advises you on all legal issues- is often too costly for most businesses. And outsourcing this work to traditional firms who charge by the hour just doesn't cut it. That's where Pact comes in. We’ve modernized the way law firms work to make the right guidance more accessible for business owners like you.

Each February, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Central New York chapter celebrates individuals, companies, and foundations whose contributions have made a lasting impact on their mission. We are proud to announce that this year,?Sarah Bertollini?was presented with the prestigious?Hero of Hope?award. The?Hero of Hope?award is given to someone with no DNA connection to cystic fibrosis who has shown exceptional commitment to the cause. Sarah’s dedication to the mission and unwavering support for the CF community truly embodies the spirit of this award. As a board and committee member, a Finest honoree, a volunteer on event days, and so much more, Sarah has become an incredible champion for CF fighters everywhere. We are beyond fortunate to have Sarah as part of our team at Pact, and there is truly no one more deserving of this honor. Please join us in congratulating Sarah on this well-earned recognition!

I’ve heard it too many times to count: “We’ll bring in a lawyer at the end when we’re ready to close.” Or even worse, “We don’t need a lawyer right now—it’s too expensive.” I get where that mindset comes from. No one wants to feel like they’re spending money before they “have to.” But here’s what I’ve seen firsthand: waiting can cost you far more than you’d ever expect. Let me paint you a picture. You’re buying a business. You’ve got a business broker leading the way, things are moving fast, and you’re trusting their advice because, well, they’ve done this before, right? Then comes closing day. The papers are signed, the handshakes happen, and you think you’re good to go. But six months later, you realize the business wasn’t what it seemed. There’s fraud buried in the financials, liabilities you didn’t know about, and contracts that leave you exposed. You go back to the documents, hoping there’s a way out—only to discover the protections that could have saved you aren’t there. What could have been a $10,000 investment in early legal help has turned into a million-dollar problem. I’m not here to say this to scare anyone. I’m saying this because I’ve seen it. Lawyers don’t just draft paperwork. We uncover red flags during due diligence, negotiate protections like indemnification and holdbacks, and make sure your future is as secure as possible. We do this because prevention is always cheaper than damage control. The truth is, working with a lawyer early isn’t about slowing down the deal—it’s about making sure you don’t hit speed bumps that wreck it later. Between meetings, consultations, and doing all-around, stellar work for their clients, we cornered each member of the Pact team and asked them who or what inspired their career path. The answer we got from Associate Attorney, Nick Zona, was truly inspiring:? “My professors played a pivotal role in positively influencing my career path in law. Entering law school without any connections in the field was certainly a challenge, but I was determined to make the most of the opportunity. The summer before my first year, I immersed myself in the books from the school's suggested 1L reading list, which was thoughtfully curated by the first-year professors. Their influence began even before I met them, as their recommended readings helped me lay a solid foundation and prepared me for the challenges ahead. Once classes started, the positive feedback from my professors became a cornerstone of my early legal education. Their encouragement and support bolstered my confidence, affirming that I was on the right track. This early guidance showed me that, with dedication and hard work, I could build a successful and fulfilling career in law, despite not having pre-existing connections in the field. While my first-year professors were instrumental in guiding me through the foundational aspects of law, my second and third-year professors played a key role in shaping the direction of my legal career. The 1L year was largely focused on litigation, but as I transitioned into my second year, I had the freedom to choose courses that confirmed my interest in corporate law. I eagerly enrolled in classes such as Business Associations, Acquisitions, Secured Transactions, and Tax Law. These courses, led by knowledgeable and inspiring professors, helped me lay a solid foundation for my corporate practice. Their expertise and passion for the subject matter fueled my interest and provided me with the skills and insights necessary to excel in corporate law. This specialized education was crucial in preparing me for the complexities of corporate practice and has been invaluable to me ever since.” - - - #attorney #lawfirm #businesslaw #pactlegal #corporatelaw #ourpact #pactlife #nylawyer

People join Pact for different reasons, but for Patrick, a few things stood out: flexibility, support, and real benefits that make a difference. "Being able to work from anywhere, on my own schedule, was a game-changer. But what really sealed the deal was the people—everyone looks out for each other. Plus, Pact has a student loan repayment program that’s amazing. It showed me the firm truly invests in its team." Pact is always looking for new ways to make work better for employees. ?? What’s one benefit you’ve had at a job that made a real impact?
