Recently, our VP of Community Health, Social Needs, and Health Equity, Leslie Neugebauer, was interviewed by the Salem Reporter about the Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Medicaid benefits in Oregon. We are very proud of the work that Leslie and others are doing in this space to provide essential needs like housing, nutrition, and climate support to our most vulnerable populations.??????
I was recently interviewed by the Salem Reporter about the groundbreaking Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Medicaid benefits, recently implemented in Oregon. This initiative is a vital step in addressing the complex challenges faced by the most vulnerable populations, ensuring that care extends beyond what we traditionally think of healthcare to include essential needs like housing, nutrition, and climate support. At PacificSource Health Plans, we are proud of the success we’ve seen rolling out climate support benefits since last March. These efforts are making a significant impact on our members, and we are excited about the new housing supports rollout, currently underway. Housing is often the foundation of healthcare; by providing support for rental assistance, we aim to keep individuals and families housed, which is crucial for their overall health and well-being. Together, we can create a healthier community for everyone. Thank you to all the organizations involved in this important work!
