Join us in congratulating Dr. Peter Bekendam as he celebrates his 10th anniversary at Pacific Eye Institute this month. In addition to his role as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Bekendam serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he earned his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Bekendam is also the Founder and President of Sight Restoration International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vision-restoration surgery to patients in developing countries. Christopher Blanton, M.D. played a key role in the research and development of refractive surgery in the military. He contributed to a groundbreaking study that popularized refractive surgery throughout the military and ultimately led to its approval for use by NASA astronauts.
