It was an incredible experience participating in the Treasury Roundtable and having a meaningful conversation with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury. During the discussions, I had the opportunity to highlight our mission at Pacific Community Ventures (PCV) to serve LMI communities and support women and minority-owned small businesses, while emphasizing our commitment to transparency in our products. I am both grateful and honored to represent PCV. A special thank you to Jeanette Quick, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, CAMEO Network, SHRM-SCP (Mark Herbert, Dara Dado, Louis Caditz-Peck), Martha Hernandez (ICA Fund), and Hector Ramos (ESO Ventures) for their insight and contributions. ??

Pacific Community Ventures applauds President Biden’s Executive Order on Good Jobs – promoting strong labor standards such as family sustaining wages, worker voice, worker safety and security, and fundamentally ensuring that more working Americans have pathways to the middle class. The #GoodJobs EO calls on agencies to adopt the following labor standards: ?? Promoting worker voice ??? Providing tools to promote high-wage jobs ?? Promoting worker economic security ?? Supporting workforce development ?? Leveling the playing field ? Supporting workplace safety PCV was the first CDFI in the country to support small businesses in improving good jobs for workers with low-cost working capital and microgrants, and built a mentorship program to support small businesses using our Good Jobs, Good Business framework. Our CEO, Bulbul Gupta, has served on the Department of Commerce and Labor’s Good Jobs Advisory Council since the beginning to support their work toward these efforts. With nearly 50% of US workers employed by small businesses, we look forward to deepening our partnerships to build good jobs with small businesses across America! https://lnkd.in/eEsuPeQn
