Pacifica Engineering Services, LLC is proud to contribute to the Airside Improvements for the RSW Terminal Expansion Phase II at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) with our Construction Materials Testing and Augercast Pile Inspection Services. As part of the foundation work for this critical infrastructure project, our team is overseeing the installation and testing of augercast piles, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Augercast piles are deep foundation elements that are installed by drilling a continuous flight auger into the ground, then pumping high-strength grout into the hole as the auger is withdrawn. Our role includes on-site monitoring of the installation process, verifying pile depth, grout flow, and pressure to ensure the structural integrity of each pile. We also conduct grout sampling, flow testing, and laboratory compression tests to confirm the strength and durability of the material. These inspections are critical to guaranteeing that the foundation can support the increased load demands of the terminal expansion.
