Yesterday the Pacific Steel Group Mill team got together for their first Operational Readiness Summit in Palmdale, CA. It was a successful day of meetings and roundtable conversations. Everyone is energized and excited to bring this mill to life!

Generate is proud to support the construction of an electric arc furnace (EAF) micro-mill through a secured loan to reinforced steel contractor Pacific Steel Group. The new mill will significantly reduce the emissions of rebar used in California and nearby states.? ? Generate’s investment in PSG enables steel production that is both sustainable and cost competitive. The mill will incorporate multi-technology sustainability solutions to lower its emissions and environmental footprint with project economics that eliminate the green premium. California’s devastating wildfires highlight the critical need for climate resilience and sustainable rebuilding. This project is about more than producing green steel — it’s about paving the way for a future where our infrastructure reflects our commitment to combating climate change and rebuilding communities sustainably.
