We're excited to celebrate a special project by PNSFA member?International Design Services, Inc. Lance White, IDS's Director of Business Development, shared with us that they've been awarded 221 projects in 2024. He says that while it's hard to pick the most exciting, they're particularly honored to be working on a Manatee Gateway for the Jacksonville Zoological Society, Inc., which will aid in expanding capabilities for rescue, rehabilitation, and care of manatees in Florida. We're happy to share that we had a great turnout for our first ever Pacific Northwest Steel Fabricators' Association (PNSFA) Welding Competition held last Friday at Clark College for American Institute of Steel Construction Steel Days! Thanks to all the students that came out to compete with the support of their coaches, friends, and family! Huge congratulations to Hunter Wescott from Kelso High School, Alexander Godwin from Fort Vancouver High School, and Lane Homola from Summit View High School for being our top three contenders! The PNSFA is honored to encourage these students to continue their education through a total of $1,800.00 in scholarships and lots of additional prizes! The enthusiasm was buzzing throughout the event, and many people approached us with encouragement to make this happen again next year. We're beyond pleased with the outcome and so happy to support the region's next generation in the trades! If you were able to attend, please drop any photos or videos that you took.
