  • On March 7, our dedicated PacMed caregivers came together to support colorectal cancer awareness by participating in Wear Blue Day. ?? By donning blue attire, our team helped raise awareness about this preventable disease and showed solidarity with those affected by colorectal cancer. • We are thrilled to announce that Charlotte Collins, Supervisor of Cardiovascular Services, has been honored with the Providence Values in Action Award for 2025. She was recognized as one of the top 5 caregivers in the Providence Clinical Network for the Puget Sound and Alaska regions. The Providence Values in Action Award is the highest honor given at Providence. It celebrates caregivers, core leaders, medical staff, volunteers, and board members who consistently embody the core values of Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence, and Integrity. Charlotte's nature is truly selfless, consistently going above and beyond to support her team in every possible way. Nominated by Claire Phillips, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “It is a breath of fresh air to be working on a team where the leadership listens to the whole team and makes such thoughtful choices. It is really a pleasure to work with you, Charlotte. Thank you for your positive example."

  • The 2025 PacMed Leadership Retreat on March 3rd was a huge success! The event featured a reflective introduction by Dr. Scott Foster-Edwards, Regional Chief Executive of North Division, an engaging session on our 2024 performance and upcoming value-based care initiatives, and a memorable team-building activity in the afternoon. A standout moment was Dr. Heather Denniston's presentation on "Bridging the Connection Between Personal Well-Being and Professional Success." Dr. Denniston shared practical wellness tools, leaving attendees inspired and ready to implement these ideas in their leadership roles. During the retreat, we also announced the recipients of our annual leadership awards: Akheem Dejos, Charmaine Mckay, Cherie Alabaso, Corey Hammond, Dr. Ruchi Sharma, and Phoebe Christian. Congratulations to these leaders for their outstanding contributions and dedication. Thank you to all the leaders who attended and contributed to making this retreat a memorable and productive experience. We look forward to applying the insights gained to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare.

  • Last Tuesday, PacMed's Quality and Care Coordination Committee (QCCC) met in a special place, PacMed's original home - the old inpatient public health hospital on Beacon Hill. With the city skyline and the cascades as the backdrop, our dedicated clinicians, operational leaders, and population health teams came together to focus on what matters most – “Simply the Right Care”. This team meets monthly and plays a major role in ensuring that quality is not just a metric – it is part of everything we do. Their work makes a real impact every day, from improving care coordination between primary and specialty care to enhancing patient experience and driving better health outcomes. We are grateful for such a committed group, and excited to keep pushing forward together!
