Connecting people to nature through living art

关于我们

Pacific Bonsai Museum connects people to nature through the living art of bonsai. Fifty to 60 of the Museum's 150 bonsai are displayed at any given time in an outdoor fine art museum setting in the open air of a large forest in Federal Way, Washington. Pacific Bonsai Museum is one of only a handful of public museums in the world solely dedicated to bonsai, offering contemporary exhibitions, docent-led group tours, education, workshops and more. With a flair for PNW-style innovation, the Pacific Bonsai Museum is poised at the forefront of an evolving art form that is transforming in a uniquely American fashion. 33,000+ people from across the globe visit the museum each year, with visitorship growing as people discover this gem of the Pacific Northwest. Open six days a week, year-round; admission by donation.

  • "Building Wonder: Bonsai Treehouses by Dave Creek,"?Opens Feb 11, 2025. Imagine tiny magical homes perched in the branches of bonsai trees, each one a masterpiece of patience and wonder?crafted by Dave Creek, the late beloved?Bob's Burgers?artist. For the first time ever, Pacific Bonsai Museum and Dave Creek's Traveling Treehouses bring these extraordinary miniature treehouses to the public in 2025. Previously shared only in children's hospitals, where they sparked joy and imagination, six remarkable treehouses built into deceased bonsai will be displayed alongside glimpses into Creek's creative journey, including his mobile "van life" studio where he worked on his craft.?More than an exhibition, it's a celebration of what happens when we dare to pursue our creative passions. This exhibition is made possible thanks to our partners, Dave Creek's Traveling Treehouses, a nonprofit organization established in memory of the late artist, Dave Creek, to bring joy and wonder to children, inspiring curiosity, and passion for art and nature. Mark your calendars! Come experience this one-of-a-kind intersection of animation, architecture, and artistry.?Building Wonder: Bonsai Treehouses by Dave Creek?opens February 11, 2025 in our Pavilion.?The exhibition will be on view through December 21, 2025.
