Yesterday 120 older adults in southeast Michigan got to enjoy a hot Thanksgiving meal! Thank you, Bob Evans, for donating delicious meals for low-income older adults, and thank you to the 36 volunteers who delivered those meals in our community. #thanksgiving #bobevans

Our volunteers have more than doubled their impact this year! More than 65 volunteers, including 16 recurring volunteers, have contributed nearly 2,700 hours of service to PACE Southeast Michigan. Thank you for your support!

Social workers help participants connect with community resources. When those aren’t enough, they partner with the Philanthropy team and use the Community Giving Fund to ensure their participants have what they need to remain independent in the homes they love. Volunteers play chess, go on walks, and sit and chat with our participants every day. They help organize appointments, welcome guests, and facilitate programs like Farmers Markets and Senior Olympics. We had a record-breaking year of volunteering with over 2,400 hours volunteered by 67 generous individuals – thank you, all! #givingtuesday #givingtuesdaydetroit

Our Philanthropy team is responsible for fundraising, hosting events, and seeking grants for the Community Giving Fund. With this fund, we help meet basic and emergency needs of participants. We also help to expand programming with Life Enrichment, host participant events like Farmers Markets, provide education opportunities to our employees, and more! #givingtuesday #givingtuesdaydetroit

We are removing barriers that make it hard for older adults to stay in their homes. The Community Giving Fund helps PACE Southeast Michigan participants with home repairs, winter clothes, preventing utility shut offs, and other services they need to continue living safely in the community.
