About the Job The Showcase (Our Edtech platform) is a cutting-edge app and platform that connects college students to projects, jobs, and mentors, bridging the gap between the college experience and real-world employment. We are looking for a passionate Backend Developer Intern to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of this exciting new platform. Responsibilities ? Develop and maintain APIs. ? Design and manage databases. ? Implement search and filtering functionalities. ? Handle background tasks and notifications. ? Integrate third-party services. ? Ensure secure data handling and compliance. ? Manage development and production environments. ? Implement basic CI/CD pipelines. ? Monitor and optimize system performance. What You Will Learn ? Advanced backend development techniques. ? Database design and management best practices. ? Implementation of search technologies. ? Background task management with tools like Celery and RQ. ? Integration of third-party APIs. ? Security best practices in data handling. ? Basics of DevOps including cloud platforms, CI/CD, and Docker. ? Data analytics and visualization tools. Candidate Requirements ? Proficiency in Python and Django. ? Experience with RESTful API development. ? Strong understanding of database design and management (PostgreSQL or similar). ? Knowledge of search technologies (Elasticsearch). ? Familiarity with background task management tools (e.g., Celery, RQ). ? Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT). ? Ability to integrate third-party APIs. ? Basic understanding of data analytics and visualization tools. ?
