May 30, 2024 Mary Navalta-Chavan, President, of The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Utah attended the "Impact 2030" meeting at Neighbor Works headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Topics and discussions that came about during the meeting include: The perceptions of the communities at the University of Utah, the unique qualities of the U, the challenges and threats in minority communities in Utah, and the potential help from the U towards the community. The meeting was also attended by the president of the Utah Pacific Islander Chamber, the president of the Hispanic Chamber and the CEO and founder of the Utah black chamber.

Celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month encompasses the diverse experiences, cultures, and contributions of people with Asian heritage, including those who may identify with multiple cultural backgrounds. It's about recognizing the richness and diversity within the broader Asian community and celebrating the unique traditions, histories, and achievements of individuals from all walks of life.
