We are ONE week away! Join us on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month by planting flags from the banks of the Susquehanna River to the steps of the Capitol in honor of Pennsylvania’s child abuse victims. At 10:30 a.m., we invite you to head to the Capitol Rotunda to help us celebrate four outstanding Pennsylvanians who work hard to help change the narrative surrounding child abuse. These individuals will receive the 2025 PA Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids awards during our ceremony. We are very excited for the Harrisburg Academy Upper School Chorus to perform at the awards ceremony and the PA Dairymen's Association will be serving milkshakes! We all have a role to play in keeping children safe. Abuse is not always obvious, and many children are too young or frightened to tell anyone what is happening to them. Anyone can report suspected child abuse. You don’t have to work with children or be a mandated reporter to call ChildLine and report suspected abuse. If you're in Pennsylvania, report child abuse and neglect by calling ChildLine at 800-932-0313. ChildLine provides information, counseling, and referral services for families and children to ensure the safety and well-being of the children of Pennsylvania. The toll-free intake line is available 24/7 to receive reports of suspected child abuse. Every child deserves to feel safe and loved. If you see something, say something. Do your part. #ProtectPAKids
