Recently, some colleagues from OZ Arts Nashville and I gathered on a stormy Saturday morning at MAKE NASHVILLE for a beginner-level pottery workshop with ceramicist Rachael Johnson—and what an experience it was! There’s something truly special about working with your hands, feeling the clay take shape, and creating something entirely your own. The process is simple but rewarding: ?? Learn the basics of the pottery wheel ?? Choose a glaze color and application style ?? Let Rachael handle the final glaze and firing ?? Pick up our finished piece in about three weeks - I'll update this post when mine arrives! For anyone (16+) in the Nashville area looking to try something creative, I highly recommend giving it a go.
