Arrived in San Francisco exactly 10 days ago to pitch Blueberry to the increadible community here and for whatever the outcome could be, the journey itself is worth everything. Attended a few pitches as a complete outsider from Taiwan, including the one just ended today at Microsoft hosted by Funding Breakthrough Lab and OpenSphere. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect on day1 , but the community is much more welcoming than I imagined. The city is filled with energy , more than 30 tech events going on in the area every week. People here focus on building, as a panelist mentioned today, each city across the world has something different to offer , and in SF that core value is “ Building “. Met incredible founders across the world and founders here to chat about the ideas, breakthroughs, bottlenecks and more. Heard about crazy stories how founders raised their first funding and kick-start their product is a complete gem. Also heard about the sacrifices some founders had to make just to “made it” here. I’ve come to realized the past 6 years building startup in Taiwan is only the first step into the startup world and there are much more to learn and observe. It’s never too late to start. Thanks for old friends and new ones from SF making the journey and the introduction possible. Glad to be here.
