Hello everyone! ? We are the W190A Fellows, part of Berkeley Changemaker: Critical Studies in Education course offered by the University of California, Berkeley, School of Education! Led by Christyna S., this student-centered course incorporates the studies of critical pedagogy into the curriculum and gives students an opportunity to work with various educational organizations (Digital Changemaker Projects). This semester’s organizations and their respective partners include: Central Valley Scholars (Cindy Chavez Swenson) Conectado Inc (Guillermo Diaz Jr, Diana Pacheco, PhD, Benedict Taguinod, Michael Díaz-Jiménez) Healthy Hip Hop (Roy Scott) Inkwire (Aatash Parikh, Monica Yupa) Kyron Learning (Rajen Sheth, Casey Carlson, Emily Joye) Owler AI (Athena Savino) Playlab AI (Yusuf Ahmad, Ethan Castro) Sample Mode (Nassirah Nelson) This course and the work they are doing is very important and will only continue to become more valuable as digital educational aspects advance. For example, the course just wrapped the Community College PLC and so together with Playlab, the course was able to support 300+ faculty and staff in learning how to build AI tools and chatbots that help them better serve the students enrolled in the largest system of higher education in the nation. Amazing, right?! ?? Tell a friend about this course here at UC Berkeley! All of these partners and their organizations are doing incredible work!
