This week, Owens Corning proudly continued its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the groundbreaking of its facility at the Paroc AB H?llekis plant in Sweden. The plant will convert our process from coke-fired furnaces to an electric process, which is estimated to reduce the plant’s scope 1 and 2 emissions by 80 percent. Meet Dekemi Akinyede, our Marketing Manager for FOAMGLAS?, based in Paris. Most days are full with marketing campaign work and content development, but Dekemi loves that no two days are the same with her work. During the summer, she often takes advantage of the beautiful weather by working from her terrace, and after a productive day, She hits the gym or unwinds with a good book. When she has free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants. Meet Aidan McDonough, our engineering intern in Irving, Texas. Originally from New York, this is Aidan's third internship cycle with Owens Corning, and he's really been making big impacts! One of the highlights from Aidan's internship was designing and installing a catch pan for one of our machines. He found it very rewarding to see his work come to life! When he's not hard at work, you can find him shooting hoops and sinking putts.
