Have you ever been to a meetup and felt butterflies in your tummy as you shyly extend your cold, clammy hand to introduce yourself in an attempt to network? Yea, me neither. ?? At least, that's not how it felt last night when I attended my very first #OWASP event. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is an international nonprofit dedicated to providing free documentation, tools, videos, and forums for anyone interested in improving the security of their web applications. Hosted yesterday by Security Journey at the FanDuel office in Atlanta, the folks at the OWASP meetup were open, friendly and collaborative. Cybersecurity experts were even sharing laptops to contribute to a fun hackathon exercise, whaaat? Awesome! I'm excited to to see how the world of #Cybersecurity lives.
