We’re thrilled to share that our team at Emvolon was selected through ARPA-E's GREENWELLS program to develop an advanced chemical reactor that can store renewable energy as low-carbon fuels through an approach called renewables-to-liquids. ?? Beyond Zero Carbon: Emvolon is producing carbon-negative fuels and chemicals today. By converting greenhouse gas emissions into carbon-negative fuels like green methanol and green ammonia, we are repurposing car engines as cost-effective, modular chemical plants. ?? Today we’re announcing our 24’ Summer release at Bluedot! I’m sure you can read the details in the news below, but in this post, I want to share some insights from behind the scenes. It’s been exactly 10 months since we launched our fleet product. During this time, our leadership team has held bi-weekly meetings with all our customers. We’ve talked to everyone, even those who aren’t our customers yet, about their charging experiences. For almost 3 years, we’ve been working full-time to solve the public charging problem - and we solved ??, first for consumers and then for fleets. But there’s still a nightmare for fleets: HOME CHARGING REIMBURSEMENT. Experientially, you can’t fill up your car with gas from home, but you can charge it. However, when you do this for a company car, the increase in your electricity bill can shock you, or who’s going to pay the taxes on the flat rate you receive from the company? These questions never seem to end. While fleets try to save energy and costs, drivers are unsure if they’ll get reimbursed for charging. As a team, we spent 24 hours at our camp in Serbia understanding this problem, exploring potential solutions, and analyzing the market. We had three goals: - Fleets shouldn’t need to install home charging stations - We shouldn’t be dependent on hardware - We must comply with IRS regulations Today, we solve these goals with our developed reimbursement product!
