Every once in a while I come across an #investment firm with a really different edge and perspective.?Overture is one such firm. Their specialty is #policy – not just understanding the unique opportunities #climatetech companies have with government incentives and helping them navigate that tricky terrain, but also actually lobbying for policies that’ll benefit their portfolio companies. In the words of Overture Founder and Managing Partner Shomik Dutta, there’s a $1.2 trillion wall of government money coming downhill for climate companies. So Overture’s edge is meaningful and can make a big difference for a wide range of companies. This week, Glacier co-founder Rebecca Hu shared the stage with industry giants Colgate-Palmolive and Amazon at Packaging World’s recent Packaging Recycling Summit to discuss how they are leveraging Glacier's AI solution. Glacier has helped Colgate-Palmolive understand the impact of their new recyclable toothpaste tubes and Amazon is using Glacier's data to optimize its design for new bioplastic packaging that will improve the recyclability of its packaging materials. This week, Harbinger announced that it has developed its first hybrid powertrain for an RV made by customer Thor Industries. In March, Harbinger delivered a fully electric drivetrain to Thor.
