This Month at Ockbrook! ?? Work at our future home, Ockbrook in Derby, continues this month! Workers have been busy around the site as repair work continues, and companies have started to visit to share their ideas for the site. For staff who visit Ockbrook and need to stay local, we have now opened Grange Lodge on site, a renovated cosy space with two separate bedrooms and a kitchen! We're well on our way to partnering with Derby Colleges, and 14 lecturers recently visited the site to assess the potential for apprenticeships to carry out maintenance and repairs such as painting, decorating, plastering, carpentry, and bricklaying. Volunteer Reunion! ?? This month, our 2024 volunteers gathered at our future home, Ockbrook School in Derby. The theme was 'Birthday Party', which included games, a disco bouncy castle, a face painting and glitter station, yummy treats, and, of course, a fire pit with marshmallows to end our party! Volunteers also tried out some of our new activities for the camp season and took a tour around Ockbrook! It was a lovely afternoon filled with lots of chatting, fun, laughter, and hugs! The gathering helped to foster connections between current and past volunteers outside of the camp season and allowed more connection to our upcoming plans for camps at Ockbrook! #volunteering #mischiefandmagic Thank you to Abercrombie & Fitch Co. for making the event possible!
