关于我们
Ground combat is defined by unforgiving terrain, harsh conditions, and split-second decisions. At Overland AI, we enhance ground power while protecting lives. Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables ground vehicles to navigate off-road without GPS or direct operator control, while our OverWatch C2 interface provides commanders with precisely coordinated capabilities that are vital for complex missions on the modern battlefield. Overland AI is developing these capabilities and putting them into the hands of tactical operators today. Partnering with the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, SOCOM, DARPA, and DIU, we are delivering advanced solutions that reduce risk and empower soldiers to succeed in contested environments. Join us in shaping the future of ground operations and national security.

Overland AI is building the next generation of land systems by rapidly upfitting vehicles with ground autonomy. SPARK transforms existing ground vehicles into autonomous force multipliers with compute, perception sensors, comms, and drive-by-wire.? The DOD can use SPARK to immediately upgrade its legacy vehicles to an autonomous fleet for contested environments, allowing a?single operator to control multiple SPARK-enabled vehicles.? The battlefield is evolving, and warfighters need scalable, field-ready autonomy in production without waiting years for new platforms.? Check out our new SPARK webpage: https://lnkd.in/gcbfUV7a? Our ground autonomy is in action now, integrated with payloads, operated by the warfighter. Throughout our participation in The Sandhills Project, including the final demo for the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff of the Army, Overland AI prioritized immediate, deployable results. All without compromising safety or intuitive use. A huge thank you to The Sandhills Project, and specifically the XVIII Airborne Corps, for partnering so closely with Overland. Overland AI’s ground autonomy is reducing risk to human life and multiplying force for our warfighters. Our capability is in production, and it is operational.
That's a wrap! The Sandhills Project, alongside our industry and government partners, completed our final demonstration for the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff of the Army at Fort Irwin, CA. I take immense pride in the team's remarkable achievements in such a short timeframe. LTC French Pope and the entire 27th Engineer Battalion (Airborne) team deserve heartfelt thanks for their vital support in the desert. The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), U.S. Army DEVCOM, U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command, and Army Applications Laboratory made this success possible—our gratitude runs deep. GEN Donahue always urged us to be relentless, be unreasonable and above all, be a good teammate. These organizations embody all three principles that drive the Sandhills Project. Autonomy in air and sea is well understood: large numbers of agents coordinating in predictable environments. But on land, the challenge is entirely different. Terrain is unpredictable, obstacles are abundant, and every vehicle must think for itself. This is where tactical swarming changes the game. OverDrive enables intelligent, autonomous ground vehicles to maneuver in real time by adapting to threats, coordinating without GPS, and executing complex battlefield operations with minimal human oversight. Autonomy without coordination is chaos. It’s why we built OverWatch, our C2 interface that translates operator intent into autonomous action. OverWatch ensures that autonomous forces remain effective—even when networks are disrupted, GPS is jammed, or direct control is lost. This is no longer theoretical. We're deploying mission-ready, tactically relevant swarming capabilities that give commanders a force multiplier in contested terrain. Hear from Jon Fink, our chief technology officer, about how AI-driven tactical swarming is reshaping modern warfare: https://bit.ly/41uhcm5

At Manifest: Demo Day 2025, Overland AI will showcase how AI-driven autonomy is reshaping military operations: high speed, off-road maneuverability. We equip warfighters to execute critical missions and reduce risk to human life.

A 12-ton tracked vehicle running on our OverDrive autonomy stack emerges from the tree line, maneuvering down a rough tank trail while executing a mission. This autonomous system leverages the terrain to its advantage, choosing paths that increase concealment relative to known enemy locations. Ground autonomy for defense is complex. Obstacles can be static and embedded in the landscape, but they are also shaped by enemy threats and constantly shifting in real time. Overland AI builds ground autonomy to navigate, adapt, and exploit these dynamic conditions to outmaneuver the opposition. This is real ground autonomy: no prior maps, no pre-defined paths, and no teleoperation. Just real-time (1x) video of high-speed, point-to-point navigation powered by onboard sensing and compute.

Autonomous systems must work in practice and support the warfighter's mission. We are proud to participate in ARTEMIS CROWN, integrating our autonomous land systems with trailers and drones to support next-generation breaching concepts. The Sandhills Project is redefining the possible by constant real-world iteration: building, testing, refining, and testing again. Overland AI is developing our technology with the XVIII Airborne Corps and other units because many of us are veterans ourselves. We know what it takes for autonomy to work in real operations. We are committed to making sure warfighters have the most advanced capabilities to keep them ahead of the fight during breaching operations.
ARTEMIS CROWN is one of the Sandhills Project’s most valued capabilities. What began as a rough prototype, thrown together on a Sunday afternoon in our headquarters’ parking lot less than a year ago, is now taking shape as a reality. This effort demanded tight collaboration between our team, private industry, U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, U.S. Army DEVCOM, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). At the Sandhills Project, we don’t just talk about our plans—we build them. We test them. We refine them. Then we test some more. "Be Relentless" isn’t just our motto—it’s the driving force behind our fast-and-furious push to keep Soldiers out of the breach. No blood on first contact. More footage of our experiment directly supporting end users in the XVIII Airborne Corps with revolutionary ground autonomy for multi-domain operations. Next-generation capabilities can only be developed by placing new technology into the hands of warfighters as quickly as possible. Overland AI upholds its commitment to partnering with tactical operators to bring the most advanced capabilities to bear on complex missions.
Another sneak peak at the Sandhills Project's experimentation of sUAS swarms deployed swiftly using autonomous UGVs. The team looks forward to favorable weather ahead, aiming to expand the sUAS capacity in each swarm. Collaboration with exceptional teammates remains pivotal in driving these advancements. A big thanks to Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command, and Army Applications Laboratory for making this experimentation a reality. #drones #swarm #autonomy US Army | Army Futures Command | U.S. Army DEVCOM | US Army Corps of Engineers | U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) | U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) | Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition | XVIII Airborne Corps | United States Department of Defense |

Overland AI continues to partner with the Sandhills Project at Project Convergence at Ft. Irwin, CA. We are integrating payloads onto ground autonomy with the XVIII Airborne Corps to deliver multi-domain capabilities for the warfighter. Check out sUAS swarms launching off of an SMET upfit by Overland and running our OverDrive autonomy stack. Uncrewed systems will only continue to proliferate on the battlefield, and Overland AI’s capability is powering one operator to deploy multiple ground vehicles and swarms of robots for the warfighter.
An exclusive sneak peak into this week's demonstration by the Sandhills Project at Project Convergence - Capstone Five at Fort Irwin, CA. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
