Meet our new Executive Director! As the fourth generation of his family to call Nevada home, Joe Kennedy's journey has truly come full circle, culminating with his choice to return to Las Vegas after more than a decade away. More than anything else in the past few years, Joe has been most grateful for the opportunity to rediscover his roots and find a renewed sense of purpose in proclaiming that home means Nevada. ? Driven by a profound love of the outdoors, Joe is on a mission to help foster deeper connections between people and nature, believing that it is a crucial element needed to support the growth of healthier individuals and communities. His robust background in education underscores his belief in the transformative power of knowledge, a primary connection point he plans to explore as he embarks on the work of bringing more Nevadans into the outdoors.? ? In his free time, Joe can be found exploring the scenic trails of Southern Nevada, from scrambling the Calico Tanks to biking the River Mountains Loop Trail, or charting his next adventure to unexplored destinations. Joe received his BFA from the University of Southern California and MA from Arizona State University. ? A message from Joe, "I'm so excited to join the team and I can't wait to meet our incredible community partners and everyone who has been supporting Get Outdoors Nevada and continuing this work of the last 20 years.
