Thank you to Erin Sogal and Lisa Wein, CSEP for sharing your expertise on Creative Storytelling for Nonprofits. Thank you to Erin Scott, Kerri Laubenthal Mollard and Oyauma Garrison, MBA, CPCU, for the candid, valuable insights around what to think about as we head into 2025. Thank you to Board members Jill Hofmans and Erin Ressa for helping with this program as well as Jeanne Rucker for helping make sure the event went well. ?? 5th Annual Nonprofit Appreciation Week ?? 5 years ago, in the summer of 2020, we were all going through the pandemic. Nonprofits (and everyone) were struggling to make it through everything. I saw it firsthand through Outreach Promos and our work to provide PPE to nonprofits all over Central Ohio (thank you to Michael Corey and the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County for the partnership in that effort). I also saw it through our work at Small Biz Cares. We were just in our 2nd year, and we had to stop our volunteer events. Nonprofits were not getting the awareness and resources. We didn't stay still. We created Nonprofit Appreciation Week to bring local nonprofit leaders together on virtual panels throughout the week - to share their organizations, issues they were facing, and how to stay engaged. Flashback to 2020's programs ?? https://lnkd.in/eBJG2h-V Fast forward to this week, we now have two in-person events that are part of this year's programming - the Columbus Volunteer Expo, presented by our friends at Columbus Young Professionals (CYP) Club (Tue Nov 12th), and the Nonprofit Breakfast Roundtable, presented by Small Biz Cares (Thu, Nov 14th). While our mission at Small Biz Cares is to inspire good within businesses of all sizes, we cannot do the good work without the daily impact made through nonprofits in Central Ohio and beyond.
