We’re delighted to announce that LaTanya Reed is stepping into her new role as Program Center Coordinator. With her compassion and dedication, LaTanya will provide essential support, connect youth with vital resources, and foster a positive atmosphere in our centers. From overseeing daily operations to supporting volunteers, her work is instrumental in building a nurturing space for all who walk through our doors. These young people aren’t always in shelters or on the streets—they’re couch-surfing, staying in cars, or struggling to find a safe place to sleep. As the # of youth facing homelessness in Marion County rises, we need to come together!

Recently, the Thy Kingdom Crumb food truck, a program of the AO1 Foundation started by NFL quarterback Carson Wentz, provided free meals for Outreach youth, staff, and community members. Their mission is simple: to demonstrate God’s love by meeting practical needs. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and the joy they bring to our community. Thank you, Thy Kingdom Crumb, for serving with love and compassion!

Homeless youth are 3x more likely to experience mental health issues—a harsh truth that Charity Cross, our Youthlink System Navigator, brings to light. As the number of homeless youth in Marion County continues to rise, so does the mental toll on these young people. Struggling with depression, anxiety, and feelings of isolation, and other mental health issues—these struggles don’t have to define their future. Together, we can be the support system they need. Let’s raise awareness and provide a safe space where youth can heal and regain their hope. YOU CAN HELP THE RISING NUMBER!

They tackled important projects like cleaning washers and dryers, organizing the donation room, and sprucing up the yard. In 2022, 7,800 youth aged 14-24 were homeless in our city. Today, that number has grown to 8,100. This isn’t just a statistic—it’s a harsh truth we can no longer ignore. At Outreach, our mission is clear: end youth homelessness. But we need you. This is an invitation to be part of something bigger than a number—be part of the solution.
