Based in Montclair, NJ, the Outpost remains unique in North Jersey: a nonprofit outreach organization dedicated to building community through music, community service and cultural events with a social, educational, intellectual or artistic bent. Since its inception in 1987, the Outpost has produced over 350 concerts by internationally known folk artists, and Outpost volunteers have donated over 35,000 hours of time on programs affiliated with Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Human Need Food Pantry of Montclair, Community Food Bank of NJ, Dress for Success, and the East Orange soup kitchen at Christ Episcopal Church.

Your contribution to our marketing program as part of your class project has been truly fantastic! For several semesters now, we have been fortunate to collaborate with talented individuals like you. Through these partnerships, we have witnessed a significant rise in awareness among the younger demographic, aligning perfectly with our objective. This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Half Waif's concert at Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair, NJ. As an Account Coordinator for the non-profit, along with Serena Pacheco and Millie Prieto, I captured footage of the performances and had the opportunity to participate in volunteer/musician interviews that will be featured on Instagram. From the beautiful atmosphere to the stunning artistry, this night was a beautiful reminder of how live music can bring people together.
