The platform enables fleets of all sizes to book long-term, monthly, and daily reservations at Outpost yards and get unprecedented visibility into their assets’ location and condition. Parking and positioning assets has traditionally been an inefficient and frustrating part of fleet operations. Finding yards requires research, calls, and emails to determine availability and rates. Choosing a yard is often a leap of faith, trusting in the operator’s claims of security and quality rather than verifiable information. Access control differs from yard to yard, creating check-in headaches and increasing turn times. Different billing and overage policies require a time-consuming patchwork of yard relationships. And without visibility into yard operations, fleets lack critical information about their assets' location and condition. Our platform addresses these challenges directly. It combines proprietary hardware, computer vision AI, video streaming, and analytics, enabling fleet managers, operations teams, and truck drivers to: ?? Today marks an exciting new chapter for the company formerly known as Semi-Stow: ???We’ve raised $12.5 million in Series A funding, led by GreenPoint Partners, to accelerate our work in addressing America’s truck parking shortage. ?? We’re rebranding to Outpost, a name that reflects our growing network of strategic locations where trucking companies of all sizes can securely store their assets and expand their geographic footprint. Truck parking is essential infrastructure for the US supply chain, not unlike roads and bridges. Yet today this critical infrastructure is in short supply, with just 1 legal parking space for every 11 semi-trucks on the road. This forces truck drivers to park in unauthorized locations such as highway on- and off-ramps, putting them in unsafe situations and increasing the risk of accidents with other motorists. Even for large fleets, accessing this critical resource is expensive and inefficient. Buying land and building yards involves high capex, operational burden, and long-term contracts. Renting space at existing yards requires a patchwork of landlord relationships and runs the risk of inconsistent quality and driver experience. Free yards are scarce and often lack modern security.
