    If you have not tossed away your iphone/mac box, this could be why. The designers at apple run through tons of shapes, materials and prototypes to create a patented packaging design. The air pocket packaging of apple slows down the box opening process, creating a moment of suspence as your new device is revealed slowly. This intentional delay is called controlled fiction. Unlike cheap products that are too easy or too hard to open, luxury items like high end watches or perfumes, strike the right balance. The luxurious unboxing experience makes you want to keep and showcase these items. Unintentionally giving apple, free advertising space in your home.     Brand naming is not easy. When naming with our clients, we start with at least a hundred names, if not thousands. And by the time the names pass the tests of trademarks, SEO, searchability, socials, relevance, creativity and so on, there are only a handful that reach our clients for selection. Before you settle for a three word name that has a “the” or “a” in beginning and “company” or “firm” at the end, steal these tricks we have learned the hard way. For Trademark search in India: 1. Conduct a trademarks check on https://lnkd.in/dZ3ZHrTU?Simply enter your brand name & class and check under all three categories from the dropdown. You can find your class here: https://lnkd.in/dq7UXGFC 2. Conduct a comprehensive Internet Search: Even though you might not have found your brand name in the trademarks database, it is important to check the internet for existing use of the same. Consider both registered and unregistered trademarks, as the latter may still pose a conflict.? 3. Check Domain Name Availability:??Visit domain registration websites or use search engines to explore if the domain name is already registered.?While this does not guarantee trademark availability, it can provide an indication of potential conflicts.? 4. Consult an expert: Doing a trademarks test at your level is good during the brand naming process. But before you finalise on it and move into trademarks registration, it is highly recommended to obtain a professional advice. There can be several other aspects to this like well-known trademarks, prohibited trademarks etc. which you may want to consider. Book recommendation: Brand Naming by Rob Meyerson is one of the few books written specifically on brand naming process.     GET INTO A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR BRAND Start with what he will drink when he wakes up, who does he hang out with, is he the life of the party or the serious introvert, what does he like talking about other than the product, what are his values, how is he adding to his core group of people. The reason you do this, is to really understand how you will interact with your target audience. When a client comes to purchase a bike from you, solving his transport issue is not the only reason . There are psychological, emotional, societal reasons too. To understand how You will solve his problems depends on your role in his life. Will you guide him like a coach or explain him like a friend? Will your audience connect with you if you were a person? Once you have successfully outlined your brand’s personality, every time someone creates something for your brand, step into the shoes of your brand and check if your brand would approve of it. Does everything coming out of the brand align with your brand’s personality? This way, you will be able to connect with your audience and gain their trust.
