Unique opportunity, you've called the right contractor. On behalf of Outlier Construction we are feeling excited and fortunate to be partnering with River Valley Church transforming the former home of what was supposed to be the Flying Lark Entertainment Center into their newest congregation in Grants Pass, OR. Fellow contractors feel the pain of ripping and tearing into new finishes, but it is an even bigger pain to see a beautiful building sit idle. Through great leadership at River Valley Church, thoughtful planning and design at KSW Architects, and the rest of the team's efforts, this is going to be nothing short of a unique and rewarding project. See the photos below of our crew beginning demolition of the center bar and isolated steel structure in preparation for the future auditorium space.

Nothing but blue skies and progress following a week of snow here in the Rogue Valley! Outlier Construction and Rogue Iron knocked the structural steel package out of the park at Les Schwab Tire Centers’ newest location in White City, OR over the last few days. That said, every big milestone is the product of weeks of planning and coordination. Big shout of to SANDEEN MASONRY, INC for efficiently accomplishing the masonry scope of work. It’s always a pleasure working with the owner representative team at 4Site Advisors. We’re looking forward to putting a roof on this building and moving into rough-in.

Happy Thursday from Southern Oregon Neurosurgery's new suite on Hillcrest Road, and from Les Schwab Tire Center's newest building in White City. Today the crews are continuing site improvements, exterior finishes, interior drywall, and MRI suite framing up on Hillcrest Road, meanwhile our masons are quickly finishing the CMU walls in White City in preparation for structural steel next week. Different phases for two very different projects, but nonetheless fun to see progress after many hours of planning behind the scenes.

Congratulations are in order to all involved in the new Medford #RVTD Office Building. From RVTD’s existing 1,200 SF building to a 10,000 SF transportation building and a 33,727 SF parking structure that houses over 70 employees. It is a major upgrade providing new offices, training spaces, workout rooms, lockers, and ample parking for RVTD’s drivers and administrative staff. This new build will also allow RVTD to expand their fleet. Have to give a shout out to Julie Brown for procuring the third largest #transportation grant in the country during the last grant cycle for this project - what an accomplishment!! Also huge kudos to the #subcontractors on this one - we couldn't have done it without you! For those in the industry, there are some projects that hold a special place in your heart (for better or for worse). Thankfully, this is one of the good ones. Over the course of two years, starting with an asbestos filled, maze of a 1950's classroom building, Outlier Construction alongside a great design team, exceptional owners representatives, and phenomenal subcontractors are officially complete with Southern Oregon University's Central Hall phases 01-03. Phase 01 included a full abatement of the building and demolition down to the original concrete structure. During phase 02, we brought the structure up to current seismic code, installed new roofing, waterproofing, primary utilities and utility distribution, paint, and fully built-out the first floor with office and classroom spaces. Phase 02 held it owns challenges including confined spaces excavating along the South of the building, setting major RTU's in the attic space during the dead of winter, and overhead clearance MEPF . Fortunately, we were able to continue our work into the basement in phase 03. Approaching this collaboratively with KSW Architects and the owners representatives we worked through several coordination items including routing of MEPF systems, acoustics, and finishes despite head clearance of as low of 7'-6" in areas (hence the tectum panels and exposed systems). The biggest accomplishment however was that we were successful in reaching substantial completion prior to the start of Fall 2024, wrapping up phases 01-03. Next on the list will be completion of the second floor summer of 2025. Cheers to Central Hall for now, we sure hope to be back.

As we enter the giving season, I want to encourage you to help support one of the most important services offered in our community, The Children's Advocacy Center during this year's Winter Gala. Link to gala website: https://lnkd.in/gX6T692V For those who are unfamiliar with the CAC, I want to share a little bit about the impactful work that happens every day at the The Children's Advocacy Center of Jackson County. The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County is to meet the needs of children and families in our community by providing a community-based, child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, treatment, identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse. Each and every day the incredibly dedicated staff and volunteers led by one of the most selfless individuals I've ever met, Tammi Pitzen, pour their hearts and souls into helping our community's youth. Whether it is spreading this message, purchasing a gala ticket, or a simple donation, please help the CAC continue their mission. https://lnkd.in/gbeJpnfw

In celebration of our 90-year anniversary, we are taking a look back at our history with Throwback Thursdays! Each week, we have highlighted an important time in Grange Co-op’s history. It’s inspiring to see where we started, how we’ve developed over the years, and where we are today. This week, we’re revisiting the year 2021. In April 2021, Grange Co-op purchased property in White City with plans to build a larger retail store, complete with business office space. In June 2021, the new White City construction project broke ground! Once completed, our White City location will move to this new space, allowing us to better serve the Upper Rogue area in our valley.
