Congratulations to Berne Broudy and Grassroots Stories magazine for winning Judge’s Choice for B2B Story of the Year. The feature “Brave New Landscape” breaks down one of the most important environmental issues the outdoor industry faces today, and what retailers, consumers, and brands need to know about upcoming PFAS legislation that has the potential to turn our industry on its head, according to Grassroots Stories, June 2024, page 10. Here's a little a bit about Berne:?Berne Broudy is a writer, editor, producer, and director who reports on environmental issues, gear, and travel for industry and consumer publications. She’s developed and guided hiking and cycling trips throughout the U.S., South America, and West Africa. She’s herded llamas to a Bolivian mountaintop corral, checked off fat- biking first descents in Alaska, established the first sport climbing in East Greenland, and was on the first female team to complete the Jordan Trail. Broudy sits on the boards of Richmond Mountain Trails, Vermont Mountain Bike Association, and Vermont Huts. She is passionate about adaptive access to the outdoors, and led Richmond Mountain Trails in building the first fully-adaptive trail network in the U.S. She is currently producing and co-directing a documentary on the power of adaptive trails to be released in Fall 2025.?So stay tuned for more on her upcoming film release this fall!?Berne Broudy Doug Schnitzspahn

Here's a little bit about them: Women Who Explore’s mission is to create a safe, inclusive space for all women-identifying voices, bodies, skill levels, and journeys. They bring together women who share a passion for adventure, connection, and a love for the planet. Through community and travel experiences, they inspire unforgettable memories where strangers become lifelong friends. Lindsey Egan and Melissa Wright, who started as community ambassadors back in 2017, made the move into entrepreneurship in September of 2020, stepping into ownership of the company.
