Personal vs. Corporate Branding: Why Not Both? ?? Recently, we’ve heard a few comments in the industry suggesting that corporate engagement on LinkedIn feels less genuine than personal interaction. We get where that’s coming from, but we’re here to challenge that perspective a bit. Our CEO and founder, Sarah Ruberg gives some insights around this!!! Both personal and corporate branding play essential roles in the DSO space, especially for industry partners aiming to connect with DSOs. Each has its unique strengths, and when done well, they can complement each other beautifully. Let’s break it down: ???? Personal Branding: Your personal brand is all about building trust, connection, and authenticity. People want to know who they’re working with, and that means showing up as yourself. Sharing stories, insights, and personal experiences is a fantastic way to create relationships. Your personal brand adds the human touch that often drives initial connections. ???? Corporate Branding: This is where your brand’s credibility, services, and mission shine. It’s the what behind the who. Yes, when a company comments or engages on LinkedIn, it’s strategic, but that doesn’t mean it’s not genuine. When done thoughtfully, it reinforces the company’s presence, values, and dedication to the industry. At OTT, we’ve found that blending the two makes the biggest impact. We create dental-specific content for our clients (because DSOs want to feel understood), but we also do what we like to call “outward engagement.” That means actively going out into the virtual LinkedIn community and engaging—yes, even as a corporate entity—with the very people our clients are trying to reach. It’s not about choosing one over the other. Personal branding can draw people in, while corporate branding can show them what you stand for, what you offer, and the impact you’re making in the industry. So, let’s stop pitting one against the other and start thinking about how we can use both to make a bigger impact in the DSO space. There’s room for both—and there should be room for both. What’s your take? Do you focus more on personal or corporate branding…or both? #DSO #DentalIndustry #Dentistry

Listen up, friends! Tagging people in your LinkedIn posts can seriously boost visibility and engagement-when done right. But here's the thing... Linkedin's algorithm loves relevance. In fact, tagging too many people can backfire, with Linkedin flagging your post as spam. Ouch, right? To get the most out of tagging, aim for quality over quantity. Make sure at least 50% of those you tag are likely to engage with your post. When they do, your reach skyrockets as they interact through likes, comments, or shares. Why does tagging matter? 1?? Engagement Boost: Tagging the right folks increases the chances they'll comment, like, or share, expanding your reach. 2?? More Visibility: The more engagement your post gets, the more eyes see it— simple as that. 3?? Networking: Strategic tagging gets you noticed by new connections and builds relationships. If you're a dental industry partner aiming to connect with DSOs, or a DSO looking to grow, tagging with intention is key. So, before you hit "post," ask yourself: /s this tag relevant? Remember, it's not about tagging everyone-it's about tagging the right ones. #DSO #dentistry #dentalindustry

You guys can we just say this? A common misconception we hear all the time from people in the dental industry is that you can’t post the same thing more than once. The truth? The algorithm is smarter than that!!! You could post the same thing 10 times, and guess what? Not everyone is going to see it. The algorithm works by pushing your content to different people at different times. That means your post could land in front of new eyes each time you share it. So, don’t be afraid to repost your content! If it’s valuable and resonates with your audience, give it the chance to reach more of them. Trust me, that DSO decision-maker you’ve been trying to connect with? They may have missed it the first (or second) time around. Pro Tip: Change up your visuals or tweak the wording slightly when you repost to keep it fresh, but don’t be afraid of consistency! People need to see something multiple times before it sticks. Let’s work smarter, not harder!!! #DSO #dentalindustry #dentistry

Shift from Selling to Sharing ? Our CEO Sarah Ruberg shared this last week and it was just too good for us not to share as well!! In the dental industry, one thing is clear: ???????????? ??????’?? ???????? ???? ???????? ???????? ????. They want to feel empowered, valued, and informed. That’s where ?????? ?????????????? shines—it’s not about pushing a product; it’s about providing knowledge and tools that let your audience succeed on their own terms. This is why, at Our Thrive Tribe, we focus on creating organic and DIY content only. It’s part of our commitment to building authentic relationships that are rooted in trust and value. By sharing helpful insights, tips, and resources, we open doors to meaningful conversations and show up as partners, not salespeople. ?? What DIY content could you share this week to make a difference? Let’s keep it helpful and genuine, not sales-driven! #DSO #DentalIndustry #Dentistry

Dental Industry partners, get a move on with building your personal brand. You'll thank us later. We have seen tremendous growth when we work with individuals that are building their personal brand along side their corporate brand. First off, you never know where life is going to take you. Building a personal brand isn't just about representing your current role or company-it's about investing in you for the long run. Whether you're at the same company for the next 10 years or not, your brand stays with you, no matter where you go. Second, we've seen it be crazy beneficial for people who work at dental companies. Maybe you're the CEO, COO, or someone who regularly attends conferences on behalf of your company. If you start building your personal brand (and we're not talking about spamming everyone with corporate posts because yuck), but by being your authentic self, people will start to know YOU in the dental space. And guess what? That inevitably drives people to your company's page, boosting its visibility without you needing to scream about it. People buy from people they know, like, and trust, and building a personal brand does just that. So, if you're not showing up on Linkedin as you, you're missing out on a huge opportunity for both yourself and your company. It's time to get started! #DSO #dentalindustry #dentistry
