"Our Military Kids has been amazing over the years! Michael's a senior this year and you've awarded him several grants for marching band and Winter Drumline and now his brother Josh is a freshman doing the same," said an Our Military Kids grant recipient parent and the spouse of a combat-injured US Army Veteran in treatment. "Thank you and the donors so much for your generosity! This has allowed them to make lasting friendships and have amazing opportunities through band travel, like performing in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington DC and the Pearl Harbor Day Parade in Hawaii. It also helps my husband heal a little inside to be able to support the high school band program as they do these things, by volunteering when he can.?Thank you again for what you do for military kids and their families!" Thanks to continued support from DAV (Disabled American Veterans), 750 additional activity grants have been made possible for children of Veterans recovering from combat-related injuries or illness. Thank you, DAV! #ThankfulThursday
