关于我们
Founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady in 1949, Our Lady of Lourdes is a regional acute care medical center focused on the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Lourdes is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, which is the largest locally-owned, not-for-profit health system in Louisiana. As such, our hospital has access to a great many resources - helping us to fulfill our mission. The hospital employs more than 2,200 people and offers a physician staff of over 500 doctors in a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Lourdes’ services include Centers of Excellence in the areas of Orthopedics, Stroke and a Robotics Surgery Program. The hospital is home to the only burn unit in Southwest Louisiana and a Commission on Cancer accredited oncology program. Our Lady of Lourdes operates Heart Hospital of Lafayette, a premier 32-bed cardiac facility and recently acquired Women’s & Children’s Hospital offering the area’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level 3 Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. With additional services including multiple clinics, four imaging locations and a primary care physician network, Lourdes provides easy access to comprehensive care throughout the community.

In February, while playing with her siblings and friends in the family home, 11-year-old Olivia Gulotta fell over onto one of her friends and began having a seizure. She was later diagnosed with epilepsy. Under the care of pediatric neurologist Dr. Kenneth Habetz and his team at the Our Lady of Lourdes Children’s Specialty Center, Olivia was able to eliminate her seizures. A sixth grader at Chitimacha Tribal School in Charenton, not much slows Olivia down these days. She enjoys hanging out with her 8 siblings and friends, watching movies with the family and singing along with Taylor Swift. Like our beloved STM Cougars, Olivia has shown time and again what it takes to be a champion. That’s why she is the Our Lady of Lourdes Health Geaux Hero of the game for November 8!

It may be the people, the customs and the food that take tailgating to another level. Maybe it’s the ballpark hamburger. It could be the signature roasted peanuts. Perhaps it’s the chance to join your voice with the rage of the Cajuns, as we cheer on our champion Ragin’ Cajuns to another victory. There’s nothing like a Saturday in The Swamp! Join us Saturday at Cajun Field as our beloved Ragin’ Cajuns face off against the South Alabama Jaguars. #GeauxCajuns! #WeAreAllRagin
