Twenty years ago, I took a chance and left my job at Morgan Stanley to join Our House, Inc. New Jersey, hoping to apply my recently earned Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology. To be 100% honest, I thought I’d stay for two years and then head back to Corporate America. Little did I know how profoundly my life would be impacted by the people I met here—and, luckily, life kept me exactly where I needed to be. What started as just a job quickly became a big part of my world.?I’ve had the privilege of supporting, learning from, and growing alongside some of the most resilient, talented, and inspiring individuals. Their strength, humor, and determination have shaped me in ways I never could have imagined.?They’ve taught me invaluable lessons over the years, but here are my top three: with the right support system anything is possible; disability is just a word that tells you absolutely nothing about the person; and dancing and laughter makes everything better.? To everyone I’ve worked with, past and present—thank you. You’ve given me purpose, perspective, and a heart full of gratitude. Here’s to the next 20 years of advocating, empowering, and celebrating the incredible people who make this work so meaningful. I would be honored if you made a donation to Our House (https://lnkd.in/eVde-Hwu) on my behalf in celebration of this milestone and just as grateful if you shared my post and spread awareness of this amazing organization that has been making a huge impact in our local community for the past 45 years! #20Years #DisabilityInclusion #Gratitude #BestJobEver
