?? Last night, we celebrated the recipients of our LGBTQ+ Health & Wellness Grant Reception! These eleven incredible organizations are helping to shape our community into a healthier and more equitable place. Their work in providing the much needed support to the people that need it most makes South Florida safer and healthier for all. Together, we are building a better and more supportive future. None of this would’ve been possible without the generous support of our donors and Legacy Society members. Last night, Our Fund Foundation’s Deep Dive series brought our Legacy Society members an exclusive preview of the recently collected treasures from the homes of LGBTQ icons Larry Kramer, Bayard Rustin, and Edie Windsor. These pioneers have shaped our community’s history and championed progress in the fight for equality. Stonewall National Museum and Archives play a vital role in preserving their legacies and honoring the courage, resilience, and achievements of those who paved the way. As Robert Kesten, Executive Director, expressed, “Through the noise of history, a few names stand as beacons…reminding us not only where we came from but also how far we have come.” Thank you to Stonewall Museum for keeping our history alive and connecting us to the world champions who inspire a brighter, more inclusive future.

We had a wonderful evening with Community Foundation of Broward at United National Consumer Suppliers (UNCS) for our joint LGBTQ Funding Initiative Conversation! It was an honor to bring together organizations, donors, and community leaders to discuss the community's evolving needs, focusing on social justice and equity. For the past three years, The Our Fund Foundation and the Community Foundation of Broward have partnered to address these evolving challenges of South Florida's LGBTQ community. Our existence is political, and it's crucial to have organizations that advocate for our rights and provide safe spaces for the most vulnerable. We want to extend a special thanks to Mona Pittenger for her incredible generosity in raising $100,000! Her work, along with the support of our donors, brought the 2025 LGBTQ+ Social Justice and Equity Fund from $300,000 to $400,000. Your contributions are the backbone of our cause, and we are excited for the continuation of this impactful collaboration.

LGBTQ elders are more vulnerable to the adverse effects of isolation. That's why The Our Fund Foundation supports efforts to uplift South Florida's LGBTQ elderly population, like the Active Aging Expo hosted by The Pride Center at Equality Park. Today, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and contributions of lesbians everywhere! From championing LGBTQ+ rights to shaping the cultural landscape, lesbians have always been at the forefront of change and advocacy within the queer community. Lesbian activists like Audre Lorde, Edie Windsor, Marsha P. Johnson, and Leslie Feinberg have inspired generations through their fearless leadership. Countless others continue to uplift and empower our community by fighting for justice, equity, and visibility. Whether it's in the arts, politics, healthcare, or activism, the contributions of lesbians have been transformative in making the LGBTQ+ world more inclusive and vibrant for everyone ??????
