Legislative Intern @ U.S. House of Representatives | Hazel M. Johnson Fellow | Climate Podcast Host

I'm excited to share my new position as Legislative Intern for the Democratic staff on the Committee for Natural Resources! Attending Howard University and Our Climate's Federal fellowship?provided many opportunities to visit the U.S. House of Representatives as a constituent passionate about climate change and environmental justice. I'm hopeful for the work the committee will do in the future and grateful for the opportunity to deepen my understanding of effective policy and learn more about the legislative process.

"Black History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and contributions of Black communities throughout history. While it traditionally highlights civil rights, politics, and culture, there’s an important yet often overlooked intersection: Black leadership in the fight against climate change." - Catherine Mongella In our most recent blog post, Our Climate's Executive Director, Catherine Mongella, discusses the significant contributions of Black voices and leadership in the environmental movement and the overlapping struggles for racial justice and climate justice.
