One of the new features introduced in Emblème takes variable glyphs to a new level. Rather than transition from light to bold, they animate between different states meaning they can be activated online with user interaction using CSS and Javascript. Each of these icons is a glyph in the font, and in this example have a click interaction, and a hover state on the emblems. A nice project in Miami from last year... When is a logo not a logo? When it's a variable font of course!? With animated axes this is a dynamic expression of the energy experienced at live music venue ZeyZey, whether that be a representation of the music itself, crowds with their hands in the air, or bottles bouncing around on the bar. With type in motion we can give a sense of booming bass, air horns, line faders sliding up and down, or notes played on a trumpet. We can be loud and energetic, or quietly bob our heads at the back.?
