The President's Cancer Panel Panel released its latest report, Enhancing Patient Navigation with Technology to Improve Equity in Cancer Care. We want to acknowledge and thank Jon Handler, MD for his contributions to the report. The report highlights four priorities for the responsible development and use of technology for patient navigation, along with specific recommendations for ways stakeholders across the cancer community can improve the use of technology to extend the reach of navigation services. This is a great example of how the Innovation Academic Incubator program uses applied research to develop novel health care solutions. Jump ARCHES is a strategic partnership between OSF HealthCare, Health Care Engineering Systems Center at Illinois and University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria that partners teams of clinicians and engineers working together to improve patient outcomes and reduce health care costs.

Earlier this week the Innovation Hub at OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center finished the Trailblazer Challenge, with the finalists making pitches to the leadership team. The Trailblazer Challenge was in honor of Sister Diane Marie to rekindle the flames that inspired Mission Partners to serve the OSF Mission. The challenge resulted in 23 submissions. The OSF Innovation hubs are a place where local Mission Partners can ideate, test and develop solutions to health challenges that impact their own communities.
