For Oscar de la Renta’s return to the runway, Co-Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia present Pre-Spring 2025, celebrating the prolific nature of the organic—a concept first evoked by Garcia’s own watercolor orchid paintings.? ? Rosehip, lapis and butter yellow enliven the neutral tones which ground the collection, while drop-shoulder silhouettes and relaxed tailoring elevate daywear with liberated sophistication. Orchid flowers manifest in a multitude of techniques. The hero ballet slipper orchid print introduces the group, making way for hand-threaded guipure and orchid-printed gold metal organza. ? Snakeskin dances across silhouettes, both as a print and a mimetic embroidery while abstraction figures prominently, manifesting in bold tones and statement pieces. Beaded fringe embroidery appears across outerwear, dresses and separates, and a technical fringe fil coupé lends texture in persimmon, lapis, ivory and black. The house-championed stained glass embroidery technique is reimagined for the season in structural gowns that celebrate orchids and rosettes.
