When life hands you cardboard… you build a boat! We’re excited to share the incredible results from the Roanoke, VA Orvis Service Center Leadership Team Building Event—also known as “The Great Orvis Cardboard Boat Regatta”! Four impressive boats—crafted mostly from cardboard, duct tape, and perhaps a little Flex Seal—took to the water. And remarkably, every single one of them completed their maiden voyages, crossing the finish line in record time! The creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition on display were truly inspiring. But this event was about so much more than winning. It gave our teams the chance to bond, collaborate, and build #trust - both in one another and in their boat-building abilities. (And let’s be honest, it takes a lot of trust to set sail on a cardboard boat!) At , these are the values we live by every day. Watching #teams come together, share ideas, and offer help when needed was incredible. We know they’re all champions, and we couldn’t ask for a better leadership team to guide the Orvis Service Center.
