Our President, Michele O'Connell, recently participated in the Mutual Assistance Panel at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Winter Policy Summit in Washington, DC. The discussion highlighted the importance of resilience measures to mitigate power outage impacts, including initiatives such as undergrounding overhead lines, installing submersible equipment, enclosing critical substation components, and splitting electrical circuits. These projects are crucial for enhancing utility reliability and ensuring communities have access to uninterrupted service during extreme weather events.

We are thrilled to be part of the Rockland Negro Scholarship Fund’s commitment to remaining a steadfast presence in the community. Dedicated to supporting college-bound students, the RNSF has awarded more than 1,500 scholarships over the years. We are proud to support future generations pursuing careers in clean energy and beyond.

After 18 months, I’m proud to celebrate the completion of the Con Edison Leadership Development Program! This experience has been instrumental in shaping my leadership skills, which I will carry throughout my career. During this time, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Specialist with Orange and Rockland’s Environmental Health and Safety team and as an Operating Supervisor in Bronx/Westchester Electric Construction and Manhattan Gas Distribution Services. Each role brought unique challenges and invaluable learning experiences, and I’m grateful for the knowledge and connections I’ve gained along the way. I’m excited for my new role as an Operating Supervisor in Orange and Rockland’s Electric Operations. Thank you Con Edison and Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. for providing such a rewarding program and to my supervisor, mentor, and managers who supported me throughout this journey. I couldn’t have done it without you! The best is yet to come!
