INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION | This past weekend, Dr. Mary Gilmer attended The Perry Initiative’s Perry Outreach Program event in Birmingham, where she had the opportunity to mentor and inspire young female high school students interested in orthopedic surgery and engineering. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day event designed to give students hands-on experience with surgery modules while connecting them with leading professionals in the field. By providing mentorship and hands-on learning, this initiative is helping build the future of women in STEM and orthopedics. Dr. Gilmer was honored to share her journey in orthopedic surgery and encourage these talented young women to pursue their passions in medicine and engineering. ??
