In 2014 we had the pleasure of partnering with Ellipse technologies. For those of you unfamiliar with Ellipse, they were the California based start up that developed the Precice limb lengthening nail. After supporting over 4000 nails being implanted, and navigating 2 acquisitions (Nuvasive and now Globus), the time has come to close this chapter and focus our efforts on the cool new technology that only emerges from the start up space. Shout out to all of the fantastic people from Ellipse and NSO (Bart Balkman, Jerome Byrd, Chris Yunker, Pat Valli, Tiger Buford, Scott Poole, Dane Eboyd, and the manufacturing engineering team- that somehow assembled these nails like a ship in a bottle) that made this run so special, and all of the surgeons that allowed us in to their ORs.
