We are honored to have received the Ben Holt Geothermal Power Plant Award at this year’s Geothermal Rising Conference, recognizing our North Valley Plant in Nevada. Since 1985, Ormat Technologies, Inc. has been proudly headquartered in Northern Nevada, and we are delighted to be acknowledged for the baseload power we generate for Nevadans. The North Valley project generates clean electricity and required the construction of not only a state-of-the-art 25MW power plant but also a 58-mile transmission line to tie it into the grid. Ormat leveraged its extensive technical, regulatory, and logistical expertise to successfully complete a project that powers 22,000 homes and reduces 3.5 million tons of atmospheric CO2.
