?? Orlando’s Aviation Industry Takes Flight! ?? Exciting times for the Orlando region as our aviation industry continues to soar! Two major announcements are putting us on the global map: 1??Orlando International Airport (MCO)! Upon completion, United’s Orlando Tech Ops workforce of more than 1,000 people will work together on a single maintenance campus, replacing the multiple facilities the airline currently occupies. United has been a key player in our aviation sector since 1978, and now, 25% of their U.S. fleet is serviced right here in Orlando. 2?? Iberia Airlines will begin four-times-weekly nonstop flights to Madrid starting October 26, 2025! ???? This new service is a direct result of strong collaboration between business leaders, community organizations, and government partners, including OEP, GOAA, Visit Orlando, and more. These announcements are a testament to Orlando’s robust talent pipeline, strategic location, and world-class infrastructure that fuels our growing aerospace industry. With increased airline maintenance services and more international connections, we are strengthening our position as a global aviation hub. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4iIyz9Y

“Central Florida is a prime location for tech companies looking to grow and innovate,†Partnership CEO and President Tim Giuliani said in a press release. Temenos’ selection of the region will strengthen “our reputation as the destination for innovation in financial services,†he added. Thank you Orlando Tech News for the coverage of Temenos U.S. Innovation Hub coming to our region.
Ever since I arrived in 2014, I noticed that Orlando's skyline has long been dominated by #banking firms, a sign that the region has strong ties in the sector. But when I dug into our #startup community, it was apparent that small #fintech had some great potential here, too. Obviously, the darling was Fattmerchant, which became Stax Payments. But others followed. Now, the European company Temenos has noticed that this region can be a boon for its operations in the U.S. Kudos to Orlando Economic Partnership for wooing the company, which should soon announce where in Central Florida they will bring their roughly 200 workers.
