Ever since I arrived in 2014, I noticed that Orlando's skyline has long been dominated by #banking firms, a sign that the region has strong ties in the sector. But when I dug into our #startup community, it was apparent that small #fintech had some great potential here, too. Obviously, the darling was Fattmerchant, which became Stax Payments. But others followed. Now, the European company Temenos has noticed that this region can be a boon for its operations in the U.S. Kudos to Orlando Economic Partnership for wooing the company, which should soon announce where in Central Florida they will bring their roughly 200 workers.
